Picton Wine Club
A summary of tastings, events and wines.

The Picton Wine Club was established in October 2005 and now has a substantial membership. A committee organises monthly tastings and other events.

Membership is open to anyone with an interest in wine. The club prides itself in catering to all levels of wine expertise and welcomes those who are starting out on the journey of wine appreciation as well as those who think they have found their nadir.

Except for January, the club meets on the first Friday of each month.

Next Event

Our   next   tasting   is   on   Friday , October 7 , at the Little Theatre, 9 Dublin St,  Picton , starting at 6.15pm.

Wines from  Te   Whare   Rapresented by Anna Flowerday and food matches from Le Cafe.

Those of us who went to the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc tasting in May, will know what an  excellent presenter Anna is.  This time she will be presenting her own wines to us.

Founded in 1979, Te Whare Ra is the oldest boutique winery in Marlborough and since October 2003 has been owned and operated by Anna and her husband Jason. Te Whare Ra has a long-standing reputation for producing some of New Zealand's finest aromatic wines, and Anna has a high profile in the industry as a senior wine judge and a board member of Marlborough Winegrowers.

As many members enjoy chatting after the tastings, at this one we will trial a short socialising time, after the options competition, where some further wines will be offered.  We hope you will stay on and enjoy this little interlude.
